Okay so....

Annie is on 8 bottles a day! ALL BOTTLES!! GO ANNIE, GO ANNIE, GO, GO, GO ANNIE! YAY! Dr. Thompson put her on all 8! She is also coming off of the infant milk fortifier and instead will be getting an infant formula added to my EBM (expressed breast milk). Also, she is on ad lib feedings. This means that Annie gets to eat until she is full.

We did our nutritive breastfeed at 2 pm and Angelina was able to get out 10 mL (approximately 1/3 of an ounce) YAY!! She weighed diaper, clothes, leads and all 1902 grams before the feeding and 1912 after the feeding! YAY! She got that in 10 minutes, so she's starting on the breast the same way she started on the bottle at a rate of about a mL a minute. Not bad for the first try. :) Hungry hungry bunny!

Also, they are going to start to wean her down on her isolette temperature settings and she should be ready for an open crib by the weekend. At that point, we will bring her carseat in for her "Carseat Challenge." This is when they put Annie in her carseat hooked up to her monitors to make sure she can handle the ride and does not have any desaturations, etc. in the car.

Dr. Thompson said that we will then start the discharge paperwork and Annie should be coming home on. . . . . . . . . . . . . .

If all keeps going well, we will have our little Easter bunny!! We knew there was a reason why we called her Bunny!
