Mommy went to see Annie this morning for her 11 am bottlefeeding. She finished all 31 mL, but was slow to start. At first, Mommy was feeding her, but she wouldn't eat anything for the first 15 minutes or so. She was too busy looking at Mommy and looking around when she heard different sounds, like other babies crying. So Mommy asked our nurse, Lori, to try. Lori did a great job. Annie started getting to business! Mommy took over again and that's how she was able to finish in her 30 minutes. Mommy also thought she might be a little preoccupied pooping. And she was! She left a big dirty present for Mommy!
Later on, Mommy and Daddy came back so that Mommy could hold Annie skin to skin. She did a great job. Daddy put his head on Mommy's shoulder and cuddled with them. Annie was alert and looking at her Daddy! She loves it when her Daddy talks and sings to her! She was hanging on every word. By the time that Daddy got the camera to get some pictures, Annie was asleep.
Also, Annie was finding her hand and sucking on it! It was so cute! Keep practicing, Annie! When Annie was put back into her isolette, she was extremely relaxed and sleeping like an angel! We all love you, Annie!! What a great day!
