So Annie is getting better every day with the bottlefeeding. She finished her 26 mL in 22 minutes today! YAY! And guess what Mommy got to hold her and feed her for the first 10 minutes of it! Mommy did an okay job compared to her OT, Lydia. Lydia does a great job with Annie!
She will probably stay on 1 bottle a day for a little while, because of her small size she has a harder time getting a good suction. Lydia said that once she gets to 1500 grams (3 lb. 5 oz.), we will probably see a big difference in her suction and time may fly after that!
Also, her nurse, Benji, said that from the time he got there at 7 a.m. Annie was wide awake and "crawling" all over her isolette. She was extremely alert when Mommy got there right in time for the feeding at 11 a.m., but after she ate she was out cold!
